Banning of the Satanic Bible

In 2002 a group of Irish priests tried to ban the Satanic Bible. They feared that the youth would get a hold of a copy and become Satanists. "This rubbish is poisoning the mind of the youth, and will cause them to turn to the Devil instead of the savior Jesus Christ. This is all just a trick of Lucifer himself!" quoted one of the priests. At this time, The Satanic Bible had become very popular, and was selling rapidly, which is why the priests worried. "They're selling 17 of the Devil books for every Holy Bible!" quoted another priest. The attempt did not go very far however, and was eventually just dropped.[citation needed]
